IÂ’ve been in awe of this technique and was glad to give it a go with SabrinaÂ’s Black Ice technique challenge.
I followed the tutorial she provided, and dry brushed the butterfly with temping turquoise and DOX worn lipstick in the middle of the butterfly wings before adding the Versamark and clear EP.
Certain areas of the butterfly has a little more Versamark/ep and think it might be due to the dry brushing of color; but do like the results.
Using a scrap piece of dry embossed CS, the die cut word amazing has some texture to it up close.
The die cut YOU word is smooth CS.
This technique is great fun!

Jeannie, what a gorgeous card you made with the black ice technique. I love the butterfly and the additional coloring of it makes it stand out. Great response to the technique!
