I first started by diluting the DOX inks and smooshed the colors on watercolor paper and added a few water splashes. Then using a small dot stencil, dabbed in the tempting turquoise & tangerine inks.
Stamped the bird image with tangerine on a scrap piece of turquoise DP and fussycut. Using diluted liquid pearls, added swirl patterns to the bird (the shine doesn't show in the photo), then outlined the bird with white gel pen.
I found an amazing new line of stamps and ephemera at Michaels crafts called Finnabair, aka Anna Dabrowska- an incredible mixed media artist.
The stamp set has a variety of celestial images along with THE SMALLEST words I've ever seen! They were the perfect addition to stamp randomly on the card.
I then stamped the sun & moon in the middle of the card which is then slightly covered with my bird.
Added gelatos around the edge with my finger and then again under each of the words. With a thin paint brush, I underlined each word with pumpkin pie.
And a brush stroke of same color in lower right corner and glued wooden feather.
And finally, doodled a border with journal pen.
This took a life of its own as I started this project and pleased with the results.

Awesome MM card...I really like the sun and moon in the middle (I need to check out those stamps...haven't been to M's in a while). Fab doodling around the edge ;)

Really cool DOX bg but what caught my eye first were the incredible colors and design on you bird. I bet it's even more awesome when you can see the shiny swirls of the liquid pearls.

Oh wow, Jeannie, this is just so fabulously artsy. I can't get enough of it. Those lightly stamped sun and moon and the random words are great. That distress oxide background is amazing and the doodle border packages it all together perfectly.
