My Grandfather was born on April 18, 1909. Even though he's been gone for nearly 30 years, my Grandfather's memory continues to impact my family. He was an honest man of great morals. He was a hardworking farmer (and believed in work before play). He was a man who loved his family dearly. He could play the piano by ear (but only when wearing work gloves) and he was an amazing storyteller. I can't imagine what my life would have been like without my Grandpa in it.
In his honor, I've challenged my Ready Set Go! partners - Barb (barbaralynn) and Kelly (MiamiKel4) - to create a card that in some way honors a special family member / ancestor.
Not only does my card feature a farm scene and a gorgeous barn, since my grandfather was a farmer, it also has on it a button that I took out of my Grandmother's button tin that I am honored to own. The button was taken from someone's shirt - I want to think my Grandpa's though it might have been one of my uncle's. Grandma lived through the Depression and learned to be frugal, so before tossing worn out clothes in the rag pile, she removed the buttons to be used again.
I love and miss my grandparents!

Your card is so special and a great way to honor your grandfather and grandmother. I think they are smiling right now.
