For KelliJoÂ’s CAS challenge - Poppy- Anzac Remembrance
Using a mix of red & orange water color pencils, I colored the flower and used a burnt umber color for the flower center then brushed with water to blend.
The seedhead is a mix of green & gray pencil, then added more gray pencil & water brushing for shadowing effect.
Stamped sentiment & clear glass beads in center of each sequin.
My siblings & I called our paternal grandfather Poppy, and our children have carried on the endearing term as well.

Beautiful....it reminds me of a suncatcher with the translucent look of the poppies. The shading really adds depth. How did you like our snow this weekend.....enough already...right. TFS
