A sad attempt for Lyn's Banner Day TLC challenge. Like Nickie, this took me WAAAAY out of my comfort zone.
I pencilled lines down the side and two horizontal ones but still didn't manage to achieve symmetry, and I wish I'd thought to stamp the sentiment and draw the banner round it, but...
After doing the banner I picked out a simple line-art image from Unity and coloured it. Doodling the music notes was fine, it's the only thing I'm comfortable doodling. Masked the banner and added a little sun.
This was fun to make this morning, but I must admit I was a little tempted to use a banner die and trace around it ;-). In the spirit of being challenged, this is all my own work. On a housework and work day, it's as good as it gets.

I too am doodling challenged so I feel you pain. This is a cute CAS card I love the "tweet" little notes from your blue bird of happiness and the way your sun is rising up from behind the banner. As Anita mentioned, your banner looks fine but you might be happier with it if you add just a few subtle shadows in the folds to give it more dimension.

I think your hand drawn banner looks great! It reminds my of the wind blown banners that you see behind flying airplanes.
Alot of times you cannot make out the message, so great work conveying the cheerfully happy card Sabrina!

I think your banner has a folk art feel that is perfectly in line with that sweet tree and bird image below it! Love the sun peeking out behind it! Wonderful CAS card too!
