I'm definitely running late on last week's challenges...but they were FABULOUS and I wanted to make some quick cards ;-)
This is not a color combo I would normally throw together...so it was fun
I embossed the green base panel and then sponged on some Picket Fence Distress Ink. Next I die cut and assembled my strawberry donut with chocolate icing. I went over the icing with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew. I die cut the "plate" with a stitched scalloped circle and adhered. Next I added the donut with adhesive foam squares and the stamped banners with snail. Finally I adhered an assortment of tones/sizes of pink sequins ;-)

Being gluten free, it is a long time since I have had a donut, but yours sure made my mouth water. I love how you made the sentiment with the little banners.

Oh, Nickie, this is a fabulous card for the Color Challenge! What wonderful texture for the background, fabulous icing (so clever to use Nuvo drops on it to make it shine), and you are so clever to make a plate for the donut to sit on (but not for long, I'm sure). Your sequins are such a perfect way to finish your card off...totally love it ALL, and I'm so glad you joined this week's Color Challenge! Hugs!

Terrific card to cheer someone up. Love the donut and the cute sentiment to with it. The chocolate swirled "icing" is terrific. Love the circle embossing and the scattered pink sequins. Wonderful! TFS
