Here's my second card for Dawn's challenge. I've had this cute wishing well from Bugaboo and I've been meaning to use it for a get well card. I agree with Diane that a gentler get well sentiment is better. I really like "wishing you well". I also like a good pun, hence the wishing well. As I was making this card, I was thinking about how this would be a perfect card for Jill to give to Jack. After all, he broke his crown when they were going to fetch a pail of water. LOL.
I had fun with Dina's sketch for the MIX challenge today. Decided to use a background from my scrap basket because it's just too full. I choose this alcohol ink background because it had pretty neat colors to go behind the well. Then I pulled those colors when I was coloring my well. I struggled with what to use as the bottom strip because nothing really matched. So I dug through my box of strips and decided gingham goes with everything.
