These two cards are on the way to New England to Super Miles and Super Libby. Pat thank you for hosting this lovely Teaparty and thank you Jen (Jennifrann) for sharing the twins courageous story with us.
I printed these images onto regular copy paper and coloured them with Prismacolour Pencils and pencil blend, highlights were added with Copics.
The faux Northern Lights background was fun to make. It's not the proper technique, but I like the effect. I smacked various distress ink pads onto a piece of aluminium foil, squirted on heaps of water, then scrubbed the inky water onto watercolour paper using a foam blending tool.
While everything was still wet, I sprayed on some ironing spray starch (just cheap stuff, it works better than Fabulon). The ironing spray isn't as wet as water, so you can keep spraying it on until you have the desired speckly effect.
I still haven't mastered the art of splattering, so extra white dots were added with a white pen and tons of silver and diamond Stickles.
Thank you for looking, I hope you are having a happy, inky week.
EDIT: I completely forgot to mention my inspiration for this card. Jen provided a link to the incredible Good Nights Lights project. I hope you find a minute or two to read this article. https://inkct.com/2018/02/good-night-lights/

Your galaxy backgrounds are magical and out of this world. I keep promising myself that one of these days I will try your background technique. That and the light wipe with walnut stain. I love the way you added little dots to Libby's cape.

Fabulous super kids! Thanks for the details on how you did the sky, I will have to try that. I have had difficulties with spattering in the past, but have had luck lately with striking a brush or marker on a wooden dowel. You just have to figure out where the spatter is going. This is a super card! Thanks for playing.
