The papers came from Hobby Lobby, I used a red polka dot and a red pin stripe. I also used white and Bermuda Bay cardstock. I glued the papers down to cardstock to stiffen them. I just happened to browse this challenge and I'm glad I did, this is cute, different and not too difficult! Great Idea! I followed the video... and used Stampin Up! Layering Squares for the sentiment. The stamp came from an ********** stamp set, and I embossed it using white embossing powder. I adhered a clear gem on the brad and then added a few more gems. Finally I added a little fishtail banner and some silver ribbon as a pull to swing the top portion. I didn't stamp the inside yet.

Your dressed-up brad is gorgeous, so is that classy spots and stripes combination. The little fishtail banner is a neat idea. I wouldn't worry about any card maker being able to figure out that this was meant to open, but always a good idea to make it obvious for those less likely to get it. What an elegant treat for someone.
