This card is for a VSN challenge to do with lilacs, one of my favourite colours.
By the time I had searched my stash for lilac flowers, which I never found, I was half tempted to wait until tomorrow to create this card LOL.
I wanted to create lots of lilac flowers but time wasn't on my side so I pulled out the closest thing I could find to a lilac flower and stamped away. Inks smacked onto my craft mat and sprayed and images smashed and watercolored. Images fussy cut....15 mins gone...phew...still lots to go.
Jar stamped and watercolored. Dies cut. Now what.
I wanted more lilac and start dabbing colour on the bottom of my card but it's not giving me the effect I wanted, so out comes my stencil and I'm pouncing whilst checking the time LOL. Still ok.
Glue everything down when I realise I wanted ribbon on the card...find a piece of pink ribbon on my table which just fits across the front. Stick that down as can't find my tape or glue dots.
Sentiment stamped and heart. Still lacking something...when I spot a butterfly sticker. On that goes. Twine added and a little time to spare...phew, this was a close one.
It's at this stage I notice another flower set...and isn't that a lilac bloom on it...grrrr...that would have been much better. Too late LOL.
Photo taken and just when I'm ready to upload it I spot huge marks on the ribbon...back to craft table, quickly stamp more flowers and smash/watercolour those. Add onto ribbon and add bling...ok so one is wonky but I'm thinking by now...."it's staying as I'm out of time here and need to post"...LOL.
Just about to take 2nd photo when I move card and some of the bling pops off the card onto my floor. I'm now on hands and knees trying to find it...why didn't I just get another one...LOL? I find it and also a cobweb...this crafting is really taking up too much of my housework time...mmm...not!
Photo taken. It's at this stage I decide to call it a day for creating. I am whacked but I'm happy I got my lilac card completed.
TFL Happy day

Jayne your description made me laugh..we've all been there..problems uploading, card needing some extra....lol. I really like your cut out flowers..it adds a lovely dimension to your card and the different shades of purple are so like lilacs. You did good!

Ooooh, love your bouquet of lilac colored flowers - so sweet with the 2-tone twine around the neck of the jar and I love the bg! Thanks so much for your kind comment on my card - it put a big smile on my face this morning!
