Here's a second card for my WTUI World Water Day, focusing on water images and/or water techniques. This pretty mermaid begged to come out to play, who am I to resist ;)
I printed the image on watercolor paper and used theWatercoloring with Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painter technique to color. I love working with watercolor pencils. Coloring on dry paper gives me better color placement. I use a water brush to activate the paint and come after the image is dry to add shading. I painted the hair and mermaid tail with iridescent paint. After the image panel was dry, I spritzed it with shimmer spray. Wish you could see the glimmer! I mounted the panel on a dark blue card base to complete. TFL

Carla, so glad you allowed this beautiful mermaid to come out and make an appearance! She is beautiful with the gorgeous iridescent painted hair and tail. You did a wonderful job of water coloring her with beautiful colors. Love it!

Beautiful soft colouring on that lovely mermaid. I can see the iridescence, but I wish there was a camera setting to capture shimmer. At least we all know enough to imagine it.
