This week's Mix Challenge - It's a Date. I chose the first card I uploaded to Splitcoast as my first & am even bravely linking it here - the reason I say brave is I now cringe when I see it, that large orange flower - what was I thinking!!! -
I have not used the same sketch or colour combination as I am not really a fan of peach. I did keep the Baja Breeze colour & used the same stamp set, Friends Never Fade. The bg panel was done using the Smack & Squirt Technique using Lemon Lime Twist & Night of Navy. I stamped the flower from this set repeatedly and added the die cut, doily & butterfly which is a gold sticker and stuck onto dp & fussy cut. Added the sentiment.

isn't it fun to take a look at our first cards?? That's how you see the progress and everything we learn from each other!!
Your first card wasn't bad at all it was CAS, and this one is so pretty with the shades of blue and your bg is terrific!!

I love that you CASEd from your first upload because it reinforces my belief that SCS has made each of us better crafters. The challenges and inspirations provide a jumping off point and color combos we'd NEVER try or think of. It helps us define our preferred style too. I love that you used the original stamp set truly showing your growth. I have many of my earlier cards (photos) and cringe.

I love that idea, your first card uploaded! This is so pretty and a great CASE to your first card. My first card is so basic, I think I only had a ruler and craft knife when I made it. Thank you for playing with the Mix-Ability challenge!

You've come a long way baby....lol..what a beautiful card you created! First off that butterfly is so elegant and the layering die cuts are wonderful...I really love the green lattice one. All your elements go together so well and compliment each other. Thanks for sharing your inspiration.

Its always so nostalgic to look back at your previous crafts. That why I love my blog, its a running record of work created and hopefully progression. Both your cards are lovely and you can see your journey has been successful!
