I Stamped & embossed my image in black on periwinkle cardstock. I then used a Q-tip swab to carefully apply bleach to the inside of the entire image and set aside to dry. Once the bleach had done it's magic, I touched in some green watercolor to the leaves and stems and some golden orange to the beards leaving the petals themselves the white with traces of lilac that happened with the bleach. I cut my image into a usable rectangle fussy cutting around bits of the leave and petals for an out of frame experience - added a narrow band in orange and adhere to my white card base.

Beautiful! I tried this coloring with bleach technique once, but I didn't think to emboss first. Also didn't realize my ink was going to bleach out too. You've done such a wonderful job on this technique, Linda!

Oh wow!!! What a great way of getting white irises and keeping them with a delicate feel. What an inspired choice of stamp to use with this technique, Linda.
