This project started out trying Lydia's technique for color separation which didn't yield good results. The front side however, was salvageable and was inspired by these colors http://colorpalettes.net/color-palette-2461/ for IC639, and the Free For All 2 step stamping.
The blue background was created first with Broken China DOX and splattered water. I stamped the flowers, stems and leaves in archival black and then used the solid flowers and stamped in Fossilized Amber then Spiced Marmalade. The centers were stamped with Walnut Stain. The solid leaves were stamped using Peeled Paint. I stenciled dots in the bg using Wilted Violet and sponged Spiced Marmalade in the corners. I wasn't liking the matte look of the colors, so I tried to glam up the flowers with glitter gel pens, but it only helped a tiny bit. Stamped the sentiment from an All Occasion set which I got free with the Simply Cards & Papercrafts magazine. I found a half sheet of summer sun to use as my base, sadly I have a very little bit left. I love this yellow and am trying to find a comparable replacement.

Oh my, I really like your background and how the green and blue bleed into each other. Gorgeous work on your two-step stamping with the flowers. Nicely done.

So pretty and I love the dot stencil. I hope you can find the cardstock you're searching for.....hate when I run out of something I love.

This looks terrific Julie. I know what you mean about running out of something you love. Maybe your Spiced Marmalade ink could be a good substitute. I learnt from Sabrina aka Cook22 that great card bases can have inked edges that look like coloured cardstock.

I love everything about your card. It popped out of the gallery at me and I keep finding more things about it I love. In my faves.
I agree with Susie, I've watched Jennifer McGuire and also Catherine Pooler ink white cardstock on the edges with a colour for their base if they don't have the right colour cardstock, and tried it myself...it works, albeit you get very inky LOL.
TFS Happy day
