When I saw the sketch, the oval pieces reminded me of a flying saucer, so I deviated slightly and had an image that resembled that.
The bg is done with brushos and then added white gel pen for the stars. The DP has a moon surface appearance. The paper is actual called ivory rust metal which I got a great deal onfor less than .20 cents/sheet.
My sentiment panel is done on my printer and positioned it lowered so as not to cover up the flying saucer which is colored with markers.
This will go to my sister grandson who will be 14 next week.
Fun layers to work with!

This is really cool, Jeannie! Your brushos work so well for this theme and so does that crater-like dp! Your flying saucer was a great choice for the oval panel~
*When I first started to stamp, I went to a yard sale that was advertised Stampin'up only. She sold her cardstock for 1 cent a sheet! I should have taken it all, but counting it out took time....

This card is out of this world! I love your outer space background and that cool paper that really does have a lunar surface feel to it. What a great idea for this sketch, Jeannie! You rock!

Outstanding! Love how you used the sketch with the flying saucer. The backgrounds are amazing and truly did your card the outer space look. The sentiment goes right along with it all. Well done! TFS
