My stepsisterÂ’s 65th birthday is next week. She is one year younger than me. She is very ill. Her daughter is having everyone write a paragraph about what Sis means to them. I know of her love for fairies and butterflies, so I made her a canvas instead, and will frame it before I present it.
MIX265 - Spray, splatter, sprinkle or smoosh. Tissue paper was crushed into a ball and then smooshed onto the canvas with glue mixed with water, dried, then splattered with several shades of blue, greens and purple Prism tubed watercolors. When that was dry, I rubbed gold wax over the ridges, sanded it back off, and rubbed shades of Gelatos over to meet the CC675 challenge of denim with a fresh twist.
DD9ABC1A - letter A for the Alpha Challenge, with extra credit to use Amaranth, a ruby red shade. I sanded a wood fairy and then water colored her with Crimson, making the color lighter near the wings. She was sprayed with sparkle spray and set aside to dry.
Die-cut leaves were glued at the bottom and coordinating red flowers and a few yellow and pink were hot glued on. I metal stamped My Sister is Magical onto two tags and connected them with a chain. The number 65 in tabs is at the top, some lovely gems coming from the fairyÂ’s hand are glued on, and a butterfly added. TFL
