Normally I'm not good at using pre-coloured images, but this last couple of weeks I've been thankful to have the ones which I coloured in bed back in January; they're a stepping-stone to a quicker card which is all I have time for just now.
The bird had been coloured with Polychromos pencils.
Today I decided to revisit Karen's recent TLC675 Acetate Inking challenge, to see if I could get something closer to the linear effect she achieved. My first go came out as looking pretty much like wrinkle free distress, happy with the the way this looks. It sent me looking for a vertical sentiment to stamp on it. That's SMOOSH and SPRAY, since I smooshed the inks on to the acetate and sprayed with water.
I SPATTERED gold Twinkling H2Os over the top part of the bird side (masking him off loosely), and stencilled the bottom. Edged with a gold pen and then a Sharpie for more definition. Couldn't decide whether I liked the sequins or not, but in the end I left them on. There's Glossy Accents on the bird's beak.

Every inch of this is fabulous Sabrina. I love the 'sort of CAS' feel about the bird half of your card and the fun busy arty part of the other end. Your colouring is brilliant! Sure hope you are feeling better. xx

What a cool looking bird, Sabrina....I just love all the fine lines on him and your colors make him the star of this card! Your vertical sentiment works so well with the inky bg too, and I like the sequins just the way they are~

Your color palette is so pretty and eye-catching...love your acetate inked and stenciled bg...so perfect to set off your colorful birdie. Love the glitzy vertical sentiment and the gold splatters and sequins are perfect to finish off!
