This is the 8th week of my personal 50-week States of the Union Challenge. Each week I research one of the United States (in the order they attained statehood), do some research about that state learning lots of interesting and fun stuff (I share several things on my blog)... and then create a card inspired by something I learned. This week's state is South Carolina.
I've decided to go with this bit of South Carolina information for my card's inspiration... Snow in South Carolina is very rare: On average, the state receives less than an inch each year. When there is snowfall, chaos reigns. And because they get little snow, but are a largely coastal state, I decided to use a snowman pirate image that I recently received from an SCS friend. Thanks Janet!

A pirate snowman... I would have never come up with that... but how fun!! Interesting that you are learning about the states. We will be heading to SC for a vacation this summer.
