Hi everyone! I was preoccupied with mom the last 2 years and didn't get a chance to visit SCS and I've missed all of the creativity here.
It's been ages since I've uploaded to SCS, but I have managed to make some cards last year. This one was made specifically for my youngest niece, Lauren, who just turned 16 last month. She has selective mutism and hasn't spoken with me face to face since she was 4 but we love the heck out of one another. She is quite a character and our term of endearment is "I loaf you". When visiting me for summer vacations, christmas, or anytime possible, a pot of tea every evening is our tradition. I guess you now understand the inspiration for this design.
I wanted to dabble in watercolor and no line coloring since I haven't worked with either very much.
* Freehand sketch of the bread and "table"
* Masked stamped Altenew Vintage teacup
* Die cut a few layers of Altenew Inline Alpha letters from copper cs for dimension
Although not perfect, I love how this turned out but more importantly, Lauren absolutely "loaf"s it.
Thank you for looking and allowing me to share this story.
Hugaroonies!

Oh my gosh, Deborah! That loaf of bread and cup of tea look so realistic! You are amazing to have hand drawn the loaf and the coloring of it is amazing. Love the coloring of the teacup too! Thanks for sharing your story about you sweet niece!

What a great job you did drawing the bread and table. I need lessons from you because I cannot draw anything. Your card is just so sweet for your niece and I'm so glad she "loafed" it.
