Becky, this card drew me right in from the gallery! :p
It was your beautiful coloring of this peony that made me take a closer look, and your copics coloring is lovely--something I cannot do well at all, so I appreciate all I can learn from others. I especially like how you've shaded around the outside of the peony on the white layer and you've added some other subtle shading on that white piece including your thank you sentiment. Adds real depth to your flower. The hand-sewing details are lovely. I wish I still had my grandmother's sewing machine, but it was heavy and not easy to get out, so I think I need something very small and light in weight. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
I was also taken with the diagonal strip dsp that you set just to the left of the focal image and the very thin colored strip beside it. And the button and twine to me added the perfect finishing touch. I also like the dimension with the layers and especially noticed the dimension under the button and twine and really liked that.
Beautiful, going into my favorites. I have a very few Sugar Pea dies from Catherine Pooler and I need to look at more clearly, all inspired by you and your stunning card--I just had to leave a comment and express my admiration.
