Such lovely Irises on the site Stacy chose for the Inspiration Challenge! I never imagined there were so many varieties. I was inspired by THIS iris, Be Original. Somewhere along the line, the colors went a little sideways & I think I created a totally different hybrid iris!
After coloring, I did a little out of the box when I die cut it. I was looking thru some old backgrounds I made eons ago & came across part of one made w/ Marvy metallic markers & the colors seemed right.
Thanks so much for looking. It's up on my blog w/ Copic colors & closeups: The Write Stuff

Lovely irises, Julie, and I like the out of the box technique you used. Made it look even more real. Pretty embossed panel, too.

Julie, what gorgeous irises on your striking card. They are colored so beautifully! The colorful piece on the right of the card and the blue embossed panel are gorgeous. Your card design is fantastic, Julie! Love the card!

I love the irises, but was very taken by the embossing in the bg and the watercoloring!! Gorgeous!
