Today's TLC challenge is to paint with cardboard. I knew I wanted to try it but I wanted a smaller diameter cardboard tube. After thinking, I cut the TP core and wrapped it with a rubber band, then made my paint tool as directed in the TLC challenge.
I actually made two cards because I started my first one on white cs and then remembered I wanted a night sky effect for fireworks! So this card I used black cs.
I used three shades of blue acrylic ink and last a gold glitter paint.
I matted this version with gold glitter paper and heat embossed the sentiment.
Thank you, Judy, this was a fun challenge!
Card edit: the next day, I added white paint to this card. I couldn't change this photo to the current look of it, for whatever reason, so I just uploaded it again. Here is the link to what it now looks like: TLC677 Explosive Celebration Revised by cdimick at Splitcoaststampers

Fireworks was the first thing I thought of when I saw the technique demo. I also made a tube with a smaller diameter tube. Your night sky fireworks are gorgeous...love the touch of gold.

Another card that pops...your title is very appropriate and it also reminds me of fireworks. TFS Happy day

WOW...great rendition of the challenge to paint with a toilet paper roll! Like your idea of the rubberband around the tube to make it a smaller diameter circle...love it on black with gold mat layer and gold and glue fireworks! GREAT job!
