This sure is a wonderful, global Teaparty!! Jacqueline in the USA is hosting this weeks Teaparty on behalf of Anita, aka Snietje from France, for her mum Annie who lives in The Netherlands and this card was made by me, who lives in Australia. How cool is that!
Denk aan je Annie translates to 'Thinking of you Annie". Actually I was thinking of Snietje while I was making this, the pressure was really on. Imagine how many wonderful cards Annie has received over the years.
Fashion and a touch of textile are two elements of this weeks challenge. I stamped this Julie Nutting doll onto a piece of watercoulour paper from my stash in order to make the dress and shoes. It's just el cheapo watercolour paper dunked in a puddle of Dylusions ink spray and water.
I also stamped the doll on cardstock, coloured her with pencils and Copics, then fussy cut the dress and shoes from the watercolour piece and stuck them on top of the body. After I had adhered her to the background, I decided to add the lace. If there is a difficult order of doing something, I will find it!!
The background was made with Distress Oxides. Santa decided I needed a set of 12 Distress Oxides all the way from America via Amazon, gosh I love Santa! I did a bit of stenciling, sponging and stamping with the inks.
Thank you for looking. I hope you have a happy, inky week.

Accessories: RAK lace from Jody, Distress Oxides, stencils, Prismacolour pencils, Dylusions ink spray, liquid pearls, white paint, die cut hello, black micron pen
Love her! I understand about difficult order of doing things, because I am good at that, too! I am glad you added the lace even if it was out of order. It looks great! And your background is gorgeous, just like your doll and your whole card! I know why Santa brought those oxides all the way from America; it is because you are so good!

Wow, Susie, I'm impressed that this young woman looks like she is a 3D model instead you have created the illusion on a flat card--that skirt is wonderful especially in its coloring, and the lace underneath really adds to the depth. The colored background is so detailed, I couldn't take in all of the layers and products, one that really struck was the gold elements which really emphasize the warmth and beauty of the reds especially. How wise to have chosen the grey board as a background for this card, for it allows this vibrant, colorful card to shine. This is one stunning card, you definitely did this justice, for I am beyond feeling awe!

I just love the way your colors flow from the dress through the bg...all your colors blend together without turning to mud...as min e would do if I tried anything like this. The touches of white in the lace, stockings and bg dots look terrific with the wonderful mix of colors you used.
