Such pretty colors in the color challenge this week! I'm playing with some soon to be released stamps and dies from the Heartfelt Creations Lush Lilac Collection. For more details and photos of my card, check out my blog: https://djs-creations.blogspot.com/2...ly-lilacs.html. Hugs, DJ

When I saw your card on the SCS gallery, before I could even see it close up, I made a sound because it was so beautiful and I was VERY impressed! I love hydrangeas and lilacs and I've been waiting for this Heartfelt Creations collection to be released with some anticipation for sure, and if your card is any indication, I will not be disappointed!!!
I like that you've kept the coloring of the blossoms very close to the color intensity of the background patterned paper, and instead, you've made them stand out (but only in a subtle manner which I think works extremely well) by your shading and the texture of the prills in the center of each blossom, and with your molding and shaping of the blossoms. Your leaves are shaped but are allowed to stand up just a bit which adds some variety and these look so real! You've managed to have an overall rounded shape on the two hydrangea flowers, SO beautiful! That bit of lace is just enough, had you used a larger decorative die-cut, I think it would have taken away from your flowers. That purple heart which has the sentiment on it is just slightly darker and it enhances the shadow effect around each of the two flowers. This takes my breath away and is going into my favorites tout de suite!
I cannot wait to see this lilac collection, I'm hoping that platinum members still have an opportunity to see the new Heartfelt Creations collections early because I am counting the days until I can see the whole collection. I have many HC stamps and dies, so I am not able to buy lots of them plus I tend to buy their flowers more than anything else (and their stunning decorative dies, I have several on my wish-list right now ;)), but I've been waiting and hoping for some time that HC would bring out a definitive hydrangea or lilac collection, and finally they are doing this.
Thank you for inspiring me and for giving me such pleasure to see such an utterly delightful piece of vintage artwork, you create cards in this vintage style with great distinctive charm.
