My creative muse has been MIA the last few weeks so I was trying to lure her back. Checked out some of the cards that I had saved to Pinterest and came across this beauty by Maura (beesmom). Perfect as I had a background already stamped using the BG stamp from an abandoned project in the past.
I kept Maura's layout. I used the same BG stamp and also chose to use a die cut "happy" and textured cardstock behind my focal panel.
My changes:
- Colors
- Tone-on-tone stamping with the BG stamp
- Extra layer to allow narrow edge of my card base to show through.
- Embossed BIRTHDAY and no embellishments, rather than a flag sentiment and enamel dots
- Placement of my sentiment
Thanks so much for the inspiration, Maura.

I love your background tone on tone texture, gold thin frame and die cut happy and stamped birthday. Beautiful example, Debbie of a CAS design using a dark background and no embellishments. TFS my friend. Hugs

Love this, Debbie - the bg stamp gives such great depth when it's tone on tone - great idea! And I love the gold and the navy combo - very rich! And thanks for the shout-out my friend! Faved.
