I was going to say, those look like proper dress-making pinking shears! What a great heirloom. We weren't allowed near my mother's...and then I got my own. Have to admit I use them more than my paper ones. Those sparkly hearts look good enough to eat.

I love the hearts too.......yummy! Such a pretty card, Jan. Woe be unto anyone who touched my shears.......and now they (and my sewing machine) are used for only paper!! My grandmother, the dressmaker must be revolving!

My mother too, would have had apoplexy if we had dared to touch her pinking shears to ANYTHING but fabric. I wasn't quite so picky about mine and did occasionally edge paper. Beautiful valentine and great memories form the past.

Oh my, you used pinking shears on paper!!!! You sure got a nice crisp edge with them. I can remember having a conniption when my family grabbed my sewing shears. My DH used them on wire screen once!! Cute card, almost looks like felt squares. Thanks for giving an unused tool some love and playing in my challenge.

Pinking shears! Yup, my mom had those and bought me my first pair as well (she was a seamstress and taught me to sew). Thanks for a walk down memory lane! I love the background you created from all the little punched hearts; it has so much dimension and looks amazing!
