For Carla's great WTUI challenge which you will find HERE.
I had such fun making this. I used a LOT of masking to create my flower (coloured with pencils), and to sponge and spritz the background. I used the brass template (which I may have used back in 2012) to pierce around the petals, and popped the centre up on foam tape after shaping it slightly. The butterflies are cut from a scrap of gold-embossed tissue paper. I used a Sakura stardust pen and white gel pen to edge the card, and added the sentiment. It was a last minute addition so it's slightly cramped, but I liked it better with it.
I made a matching envelope from some old DCWV paper, using my old Notch and Die tool, which has been in its box for years. I did remember how to use it, but couldn't find the little insert with suggestions. YouTube brought up a video by the Frugal Crafter showing how it could be used for envelopes to create a similar notch to the punchboard. Since I don't have a punchboard this was a great discovery...and as I quite often make custom envelopes, Carla's challenge has definitely given one of my old, unused (at least 12 years) tools a new lease of life. Not so sure about the classy brass, though!!

Oh wow this looks like pure mixed media magic Sabrina. The background looks incredible and your colouring is so richa and vibrant. Great design! I love how you photographed this too.

Your flower has such rich colors, gorgeous against the sponged bg. The piercing and butterflies finish it off so perfectly. Thanks for the wonderful sample, Sabrina.

This is a fantastic tool Sabrina. I have some old emboss plates that I thought about using but then when I found the box of scissors I said oh have I even used all of them. LOL! This challenge has me really looking at so many items in my stash that have not been used and I am slowly using stuff up so I can get to the fun tools that I have and use them again. Great bright cheery colors and wonderful card.

I am seeing a pattern here on some of the cards already in the gallery for this challenge, while we are in the mode to find an old tool we seem to be making use of a lot of other forgotten items in our stamp room supplies. Some great cards are filling the gallery today and probably a great sense of accomplishment making beauty from "ashes". LOL

I really love the piercing around the petals on this Sabrina
( I almost always used to move it at the last minute and poke in the wrong spot) but, that was in the days before washi tape so maybe I will look at mine again tfs!
