Card done for a fun challenge with Melody (lacyquilter). We are both super big fans of the old retired SU! Natural Beauty set and we have vowed to keep that set fresh and new and fun. This time we were determined to use it to make a Valentine's Day card.
I cut out some hearts from a diaper box and pealed off the outside paper. I then painted them. While they were drying, I did a quick ink smooshing technique and dried with a heat gun. I then stamped that panel with my the bg stamp in the set. Stamped a few flowers and butterflies, sponged them, and then used gel medium to catch some glitter. Put it all together.
I am not thrilled with this so I think I am going to do another one.
Her bg is fabulous, she used a lovely crocheted piece and she beautifully hand wrote her sentiment. It is a delight!!! You are welcome to join us if you have this set. Hugz

Again, you have made a gorgeous textured beauty. I really love the corrugated hearts and smooshing makes such wonderful paper. Your butterflies and flowers are fabulous! Thanks for challenging me and playing along.

No one rips up and recycles a box quite like you do Nancy. Everything about this is wonderful my friend. Have a lovely day, I'm off to sleep now. Hugz. Xx
