Not sure this is okay to put in my gallery but I have some cards made with this stuff following this post and I thought this might be some good info. Let me know if it belongs somewhere else!
So I was cleaning up my desk yesterday and finishing putting away the leftover Christmas stuff, and found some ornaments I had gotten at Wal-Mart on their 75% off sale. I took them off the cardboard and put them in bags to fit better in my "Christmas embellishments" box.
Was about to toss the cardboard backs in the recycling when I realized that the little holes in the cardboard would be perfect for tags if I punched them out with that in mind. Got out my tag punch and made a couple of tags, then started playing with other punches and finally decided to see how many things I could get out of two little pieces of shiny red cardboard. This is what I came up with. Some of the hearts had writing from the front side but they were blank on the back, so I can use them as white hearts or color them with ink -- maybe pastels and use them as "conversation hearts". I even like the 3 that caught bits of the UPC bars, they would go well on a black and white and red Valentine card!
It's amazing what kinds of card making supplies are laying around the house when you start to look for them!
I have made 2 cards with these so far and will post them next.
