Another Christmas gift - since both IKEA and our local DIY store have stopped stocking 12" frames I was beginning to think I would have to go back to the drawing board, till I thought of trying Amazon. It arrived with the glass broken, but since I don't use glass in them it didn't matter!
All images stamped on white card with Versafine black - the centre image was embossed with clear EP.
All were coloured with a mix of Polychromos and Couleur d'Art pencils, and I used Stickles and Liquid Pearls for accents. The centre one was sponged with distress inks. All of them had the edges sponged lightly with blue ink, before being matted onto black.
Each square is 2 1/4", matted onto silver glitter cardstock and then black. The white panel is 9" square, scored each way at 3" and 6" to help position the sample squares, then matted onto black and finally the 12" white square.
Top left snowman - unknown clear stamp.
To centre snowman: Purple Onion Chilly
Top right snowman: jolliest time of the year
Centre left snowman: Penny Black
Centre snowman: unknown clear stamp.
Centre right snowman: Aaladine
Bottom left snowman: Winter Play
Bottom centre snowman: LOTV
Bottom right snowman: Purple Onion Winterberry
I have one spare square left over, using the little snowman from Quilts Give Comfort. It's always hard to decide which ones to use!

O M G Sabrina!!!! I pinned this just to keep looking at it. I LOVE this!!!
The black layer is great-first glance I thought you had cut out all the windows. The top hat came out great for highlighting...the whole thing is just so adorable!!!
This is exactly something I want to try as a gift myself. Maybe this year. I was thinking about if the mat that comes with the frame would take ink blah blah...but you solved it for me. Don't use the mat! (slapping head/V8 moment LOL)
I hope you told Amazon though and got a credit for it.

Sabrina, your framed samplers are such marvelous gifts. This is adorable! Great choice of snowmen. I love the tipped hat extending out of the square. I'm going to start looking at thrift stores for square frames. I've passed them by too many times.
