Thinking about my favorite technique I thought also about embroidering, this was a big challenge because I first made the bg with ink sponged onto an acrylic block sprayed alcohol and stamped this onto my paper then i stamped with the script stamp and the hearts, after this dried I pricked the holes and did the embroidery but this took me over 6 hours and I needed bright light to see the holes through the BG
I cut out the angel and embellished with some flowers

Six hours! Wow, but what an amazing result. The embroidered lattice over the block-stamped background looks super, and the main embroidery goes so well with the feathered wings of your little angel. This will have to be for someone very special.

What a beautiful card Snietje. I just read that you are sending it to Kathy as part of the MMTPT challenge. She is going to be in tears (happy ones) when she opens the envelope.

Your stitchery on cards is so impressive and this is a masterpiece indeed. I adore the colors you chose for this card. All of the stitching on this card is so amazing and it highlights this adorable angel image too. Kathy will indeed be in tears when she opens this beauty up! ~Karen.

When I see those hand-stitched details, I know immediately who the artist is. Amazing, Anita. I love how you combine your talents to create unique, special projects.

Beautiful embroidery! I was thinking the other day that I should use embroidery on a card again, and this card inspires me to do it. Thanks for playing the Teapot Challenge!
