Oh my. This is one of my favorite card of all time! I love the little skunk and the color combo. Any card with flirty flamingo makes me smile.
How to make the stinkinÂ’ cute skunk
To make the skunk, youÂ’ll need black, white, gray, and pink scraps. Using the Fox Builder punch:
Punch out all images in black and white.
Punch out a second white tail (youÂ’ll need two)
Punch out the nose in gray.
Punch out the flower. The flower uses the Tree Builder punch. Choose whatever shade of pink youÂ’ll be using for your card (I used Flirty Flamingo).
Once youÂ’re done punching out, youÂ’ll need to do a little slimming of the white strip in the tail.
You can do this by either 1) trimming the white tail with scissors (keeping its shape, just making it smaller), or 2) putting the white tail on the sticky part of a post it, reinserting it into the punch, and punching out a bit off the tail. Choose whatever method is easier for you!
Adhere center white to tail
Cut the second white tail in half. Adhere to center of body
Adhere white upside down “v” shape to face. Stamp eyes. Adhere nose.
Using a dimensional, adhere the face to the body
Adhere the tail to the back
Adhere a little black three-pronged piece to the back (so it looks a little fuzzy fur)
Finally, add your finishing touches! Attach flower and a white three-pronged piece to the forehead. Put rhinestone in center of the flower.
It does take a little bit of work, but itÂ’s so worth it! And after youÂ’ve done it once and see how it goes together, itÂ’ll be much faster and easier to make again.
