WT667 = Color Me Christmas - using two different colouring mediums
With the stamp in the MISTI, I coloured it with Memento Dewdrops, stamping and repeating till I had the basic image on my mixed media paper. Then using Distress markers, water and a paint brush, I filled in the details and added shading.
I used a very neutral coloured watercolour wash and kept it away from the image as best as I could.
I added some glitter to the snowy bits of the branches and the pinecone, and scattered some sequins.
I did another version (see here) where, while the stamp was still in the MISTI, I stamped over the coloured image with Versamark and clear embossed to make it easier to add the watercolour wash.
I'd be really interested in knowing which one you like best!

For sure, there is a difference. Both are beautiful.

Oh, how lovely! The colors of the leaves are so vibrant and I can even see the sparkly snow in your photo! I like the backgrounds in both iterations of this beautiful card, but if I were to make a similar card, I'd probably do the embossing just to make it less fussy to add the background. Into my faves!
