Card for UnderstandBlue's (Lydia's) Try a New Technique Challenge, String Theory. These two cards were created with the first "pull" of the inked-up string!
Many thanks to bubblestx4 (Linda) for suggesting that I use a heavier book on top of my skinny phone book!!
This is a fun technique, even if I did use it to make sympathy cards.
And I'm taking a poll on these two: Washi Tape or no Washi Tape? I can't decide if I like it on the card on the right. TFL!

Liz, so glad I could help with the double book idea . . . as these look phenomenal! Absolutely gorgeous fluting off your pulled string . I really can't decided between washi or not because I think these are both beautiful!

I am glad Linda was able to help you -these are gorgeous. I was thinking that even two Bigshot plates with a paperback placed over the upper one would probably work. I keep all our phone books, because I use them as scratch paper for heat embossing, but I know they have been getting thinner and thinner over the years.
I marginally prefer the washi one, but I think they are both beautiful.
