I am so glad we had this Technique today. I had seen it on Lydia's blog the other day and wanted to try it. I made a few with a very stringy fiber and then a few with a plain piece of bakers twine. I chose one of the baker's twine ones because it reminded me of an Amaryllis. For years I would buy one at Christmas time. So here is my Christmas String Amaryllis.

This is just gorgeous! Love how your string art turned out to show that lovely amaryllis! Love the oval & the added die-cuts!

Pat, this is beautiful! I love the way you cut it down into the oval. And indeed, I think I have in the past grown some amaryllis that were red and white stripes. What a fabulous Christmas card. I love the white detailing on the foliage, too, it really brings it to life.
