For MIX255. This was nice and open-ended. No one who knows me will believe that I made this entire 4X8 tag yesterday and today and I didn't. I already had been messing with the tag for awhile, painting and sanding and repainting and stamping and generally fussing with it, using several techniques. I had put it aside because I wasn't sure it was done and I didn't know what to do with it. And I had that lady with the umbrella pretty much finished also. It as just a matter of deciding how to put them together. The umbrella lady seemed too small to work as a focal point, but I was able to "enlarge" her presence by adding a fence, and a bird. I brought the top and bottom up and down towards her by adding some DP and painted lace. These tags are a big challenge for me to begin with, but I am drawn to learn to do them. This one is only my second. I'm pretty happy with it.
Thanks for the anything-goes challenge.
And thanks for looking.

What a wonderful quaint feel this has, Robin. In some ways it reminds me a lot of the old Kate Greenaway illustrations. That textured grid in the background is amazing looking, I love the stamping on it up at the top. What a fabulous mixed media piece for the challenge. 4 x 8, that's big!! I think my big tags are only about 6" high. I'd be intimidated by that size of canvas, but everything works together so well, perfectly proportioned.

I agree with Sabrina..Kate Greenaway...yes! I think your CC stamps will work well for this size tag. I love the texture on this..noticed that right away. Love the border trims and that delightful top-hatted woman is charming..no wonder birds are attracted to her. Wonderful work on this Robin!
