Adding another bird to Toni's fun Christmas Bird Count WT challenge. I needed a suitable card to send to a work colleague who just started into 6 months of chemo last week :-(.
Wrinkle free distress using regular distress inks - bundled sage, hickory smoke, tea dye. When dry, I stamped the Peaceful Wishes foliage with DOX inks, and the sentiment with Versafine black. Then I sponged the edges with walnut stain. Added some chunky EP, and stickles all round the edges, enamel accents for the mistletoe berries (nearly goofed and used red), and some clear glitter pen on the pine cones. This was where Toni's challenge came in - I hadn't originally intended to add the bird, but even after adding the chunky EP it sill looked a little bare, the bird and branch finished it off very well.

Oh Sabrina, you designed a perfect card for your coworker. This has such a warm, comforting feel to it with just he right touch of hope in the bird and glittery border. Besutifully designed with those muted, soft colors.

You are so incredibly thoughtful Sabrina and this card is truly stunning. I learned from my own experience the "power" there is in receiving a card like this. Your friend will be touched to the core by your kindness and she will treasure this card for a very long time indeed. This is going straight into my favorites! ~Karen.
