I used some quinoa for chicken feed -- pressed it into some tacky glue and then globbed more glue over the top and smooshed it down with my finger. The washi tape is made from stamped tissue paper and from a patterned return envelope, which I rescued from the trash.
After I put this all together, I really didn't like the diagonal strip of faux washi, but since I used score tape for the adhesive, I couldn't pull it off, so I added the raffia bow, and suddenly, the card came to life. Gotta love that.

I love when a card suddenly comes together. Your chicken is just so cute and I like that chicken feed. You are so creative. The faux Washi tape is a great idea, too.

Oh, fun to see Best of Cluck...and the quinoa looks super. So does the raffia bow - always satisfying to find the perfect finish to tie a card together.

Oh, so creative with quinoa Melody. And the raffia bow. Love this stamp which I think I have or something similar. So fun and I know a friend who would love to get this, so I just may be casing your card!
Very interesting and so creative as well a getting something different then a commonly used word for one of the hard letters to use. And the card is pretty and bright!

Love the way you added the quinoa for your little chicken. What a creative way to use "q". I like the little stamped feet and the raffia bow. Thanks so much for playing along with my challenge. Thanks also for being an inspiration and showing that Mixed Media is more than just a specific style like shabby chic. It can be a little country too. Oh and I really like your envelope pulled from the trash washi tape. I hope you have a blessed day.

What an interesting card! It’s kind of CAS in feel yet def mixed media. And you’ve used such cool materials. Quinoa! And I love the raffia.
