Mediums - DOX for wrinkle free distress background (soft, mopping up after another project). Bisters, Polychromos pencils.
As mentioned, the tag had a very soft wrinkle free distress left from mopping up DOX inks after another project. I stamped with Versafine Black onto it, the bee house and prickles. It seems to be a characteristic of the DOX inks that when I stamp on them, the stamped image also develops a slight bloom. So I stamped the house again on paper, coloured and and placed it over the image on the tag, after having cut the bees' wings and shaped their bodies slightly from behind with a stylus.
Masked and stamped the wood to give the beehouse something to sit on. Coloured the prickles with pencils. I had got that far during the week...and was waiting to add some sort of finish to the edges of the tags. So for MariLynn's challenge to try something new, I smudged Versamark all along the edges and then sprinkled brown bister all along, tapping off the excess. Misted it, and it gave me a good defined border. I finished off by adding some Stickles to the bees' wings, adding a sentiment on the wood, and a sprinkling of Aged Teal chunky ep to look like pollen sprinkling down from the prickles.

Oh my. Sabrina, wow! I love how this tag turned out. The 3-d bees look amazing. Love the way you colored the flowers. I really like your design with the arrow. You mentioned that the border was the new thing you tried. I think it was a great success, because to be truthful, that is what I noticed first and thought it look stunning. Thanks for playing along with my challenge and thanks for being an inspiration for others to try mixed media. I hope you have a blessed day.

Wonderful, Sabrina. Such a beautiful tag. You should start a collection of tags. I have one going, and it’s fun to browse through and wonder at all the techniques used.

Super cool tag, Sabrina. The border anyd bg are amazing and look fabulous with your bright bee house. The muted bg contrasted with the bright hoyyse is so striking.
