For Robin's F4A 407 challenge I went with a New Years card. One of my favorite holiday ways to celebrate is to watch the New Years festivities in New York with my sons and husband, so I made this New York city scape for the CT1117 theme. Since I live in Calif. with a different time zone I don't have to stay up late to celebrate the New Year. When my sons were young this was a necessity because they could not stay awake. Now that they are 20 and 22, they can celebrate early with me and then go out with friends for the real thing.. The bg was an experiment...i sprayed all sorts of weird stuff on white cs and carefully wrote on the back what I used. Unfortunately, I made the bg weeks ago and only realized now that the info is glued into this card and I can't remember what I did...i guess I will not be recreating this bg any time soon. Come join us for the F4A challenge. TFL, Francie

Oh my goodness Francie this looks incredible. I laughed when I read about covering up all the ingredients! The crackle stamp looks fabulous and your golden skyline is magic.

LOL, even after reading the first sentence I thought what a great idea to celebrate New Year in a different time zone. It's a long time since I've had the stamina to stay up till midnight. What a shame you stuck the details down before remembering to look at them, because this is gorgeous!! But then, it's almost impossible to recreate this type anyway. The crackle stamp gives the most marvellous suggestion of fireworks, how clever!

Just the coolest card, Francie. Too bad about your recipe getting covered. I LOVE that background.

Love your card and the fab background you created. Don't feel bad, I don't write it down and then when I used my backgrounds on a card I don't even remember the technique or the products used.
