For my fortune teller/cootie catcher kids' vsn challenge.
I helped the kids in Children's church fold and write/stamp these. The "fortunes", or surprises, in the middle are stamped symbols for Christmas. The goal is to have the child interact with family members, exploring the meaning behind the symbol.
There's a candy cane, an angel, a star, a nativity scene, gifts of Advent.

What a fun challenge and it was so great to have my boy come play in my craft room with me. They grow up so fast but he still took the time to come play with me. Later in the day he was back to playing cards with his dad and apparently there is a new aspect to the card game that they need a high 5 and if they don't get one then they lose a card or turn so he came running and said he did something for my crafting and hoped I would return the favor. Yep I returned the favor. Thanks for the fun day to have my son come play in my craft room. Love these that the kids made.
The name for this does change from year to years or even culture and zones. I recall playing this when we were young and it sure got us the ruler from the teacher or principal back then lol I think we called them finger puppet back when and it was always with boys names on the inside be them handsome or not lol after awhile we had to make so many so out friends would not avoid the boy they didn’t want to get. So once they got his number the gig was up . Time for a new one lol Mahalo for the memories excellent challenge and a walk down memorie lane.
