 | | For Polly's fab Chihuly-Inpsired MIX challenge. How could I not use a faux glass technique - though I will also make another card inspired directly by one of her thumbnails. This is to go on my sister's Christmas gift. Wrinkle free distress on the tag with with DOX inks, then stamped the music score in twisted citron DOX and the script in regular tea dye distress. Added gold washi tape along the top and bottom. Added some spatters with Twinkling H2Os. Added some chunky EP.
The poinsettia was made using THIS tutorial, which I always have fun with. at 50F in my attic this morning, a technique requiring the heatgun was a bonus ;-). I edged the pieces with metallic acrylic paints before doing the shaping, and used a brad to hold it all together.
Since I have used inks, alcohol inks, watercolour and acrylics I think I am well covered on the mixed medai base here . Close up of the poinsettia in my link on the challenge thread. |
