Robin is our hostess in the Color Challege this week. She has given us a four-color palette to work with, Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake and Gold. The dessert option this week is to color something with markers, watercolors or pencils. I wish I'd had time to earn dessert, because I love coloring with markers and watercolors. Things were a tad hectic around here, so no dessert for me this week. :-(
I used three ornament stamps from my new Hero Arts kit. I stamped the gold ornament with Delicata ink, which is a pigment ink, and sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. The other two ornaments were stamped with the SU ink pads. Since this is dye ink, it dries too quickly to be able to heat emboss (at least for me!). So after I stamped each one in my MISTI, I cleaned the stamp without moving it, then inked it up with a VersaMark pad and stamped again. This enabled me to sprinkle each one with clear embossing powder and heat set them, too. I cut them out with matching dies, added a couple of snowflakes and the greeting, some gold cord and a strip of glitter tape across the top.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

Great idea to use the colors as ornaments!
