I made this card for this week's Alphabet Challenge for the letter N. The N in my card is for Nontraditional Christmas card. I cut a large section of KromeKote Paper and sprinkled violet and ultramarine color burst powders all over the paper. I sprayed water all over the powders until they turned to liquid. I moved the paper around a bit to allow the colors to run and pool in a pleasing way. Then I set this aside to dry. Once Dry, I spray this water colored piece with Elmer's craft bond spray adhesive and I pour a very generous amount of SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter over the whole thing. I allow this to dry for about 1 hour. The matted layers are cut and the flourish is cut from the top matter layer. Then I lay the flourish die cut piece over the glittered water colored piece to determine what section looks best behind the swirl. Then I die cut the water color piece so it fits behind the flourish die cut piece and I attach the 2 pieces together using Tombo monomulti glue. With the remaining glittered water colored piece, I die cut the poinsettia pieces out and layer them together with Tombo glue. The purple sections are the leaves and the mostly blue sections are also technically called leaves but these would be the "red" portion on a normal poinsettia. Once I took this picture, I added another purple leaf on top to balance out the poinsettia better. I have entered this card into a Christmas card contest at a local craft store so that is why I could not take another picture of it. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Can I say OOO and AAAHHH! Wowzers, Karen, are you trying to out-best yourself, because I believe you just did! I've seen this flourish in other cards you've created and it always makes a huge statement, but adding the sparkle and mix of beautiful colors makes it Shine ever so brightly! Your poinsettia simply glows....I can tell you meticulously placed each leaf in the perfect spot. You certainly deserve to win the contest in your local craft store, but even if you don't, you're a Winner to me! ~Hugs

An amazing card, Karen! I'm so impressed with all the sparkle and the beautiful colors you achieved. I have a hard time using glitter because of the mess, so my hat is off to you! Gorgeous design with the flourish opening and the beautiful poinsettia. Good luck in the contest, I'm betting you'll win with this beauty!
