This is my sample for Toni's WTUI challenge this week - you'll be able to find the challenge HERE.
I had such fun following the Surprise Shaker Tutorial for Kia's DTGD challenge that I have been wanting to try another one ever since, and this challenge was perfect.
I followed the tutorial linked above. My Diva Chef is coloured lightly with pencils (and I extended her worktop, having cut off the mixing bowl) to fit the width of the card. With a little masking of the bottom, I stamped the frame with an IO backgrounder.
The chef on the slider tab can't have any bling, because she has to slide in and out, but the one on the base layer has a tiny gem for her earring.
She was masked off before I stamped the confetti, and then I added the sentiment on a die-cut label.
I wish two things - that I ever looked as glamorous as this Diva (but I never was in a cooking job where I needed to wear whites), and that I had someone to bake me a birthday cake as tasty as this looks. Doing it yourself doesn't quite count, so I think I've only had one made for me since my mother died.

I wish I could bake you a cake and hand deliver it Sabrina. I think there would be 100 more Splitcoasties wanting to do the same thing! Now about your fabulous card, I love it to bits. I am in awe of your talent to take a small image and turn it into something that looks larger than life. With all the fun shaker contents this must look even more special in real life my friend.

Sabrina, this is so pretty and it's so much fun! I've got to try this shaker technique. I disagree with Susie though. With your baking talents, I want a cake baked by you ;)

I would love to bake you a birthday cake, Sabrina! I no longer get cakes made for me, either. Your diva chef cards are so sweet. I especially like that you used real sprinkles for the shaker card and the tiny gem earring to ensure divaness. (I like to make up new words.)

Wow! This is an amazing card! I've never seen this type of shaker card before. Love the way you illustrated it. Your sprinkles and stamped streamers make for a very festive look!

Oh my - this card IS a fun surprise! . . . and I love that you used REAL candy sprinkles as the shaker bits. You always have so much attentions to detail - like stamping her elbows on the frame so the image shows complete - beautifully done.
