This is for Free For All 402 - The Kitchen Sink. I've titled it Enough Already because I could hear my grandmother saying that in my mind as I worked on it. She would have said this card was "ungashtupt", which is Yiddish for overly ornate. Main focal image is a Distress BG with over-stamping using IO BG stamps, which was then overstamped with the Paper Artsy floral image, which was then painted using their line of chalk paints. Butterfly from the same set was stamped, fussy cut, and also painted and then overstamped with one of the IO BGs I used for the floral image to tie it into the focal image. I framed everything using a Nestie set that I love but requires shimming and more shimming to cut cleanly. Little blue heart stamped with the same IO BG stamp as butterfly. Lots of nitpicky glueing. Jewels for the flower centers as a final touch. See? Even the description of how I made this is ungashtupt. Enough already!
I know this card doesn't even nearly hit the top of the scales of ornate-ness, there are people making gorgeous cards which are much more layered and embellished than this one. I call you guys the "Confectionists" by the way, and I mean it in the most complementary and admiring way. But for me, this is just a few steps past my comfort zone, and maybe that's a good thing! So thanks for the challenge!

I love your color scheme for this card and your framing really accentuates the floral panel and butterfly. And I have that same SB set..it is hard to get a decent cut on those..they can be frustrating..

Beautiful card...you chose some gorgeous die cuts. The bg for your flowers is so pretty, and that lovely butterfly really pops. Aren't Yiddish words great...i only know a few from my childhood, but they really capture the feel better than English words. Gorgeous card.
