Barbara (bejoyce) provided a wonderful color combination for this week's color challenge. She selected SU Hello Honey, Rose Red, Tempting Turquoise, & Pear Pizzazz. Her dessert is water coloring.
Water coloring definitely is not my forte, but I decided I would give it a try for the challenge. In the process of developing the card, I learned that some watercolor papers should never be called watercolor paper!! I started and re-started maybe four times to create the water colored image and wasn't happy with the paper used, until I used Ranger watercolor paper. I like this paper as it's a nice bright white and the water coloring went much better with it, or at least for me. I am happy with the outcome, despite that the image reflects the work of a real amateur, which is perfectly fine with me!

Well, to me, this looks like expert watercoloring. What a beautiful image and card. I love the red and turquoise combo.

Oh, Bev, this is beautiful, and you've used these colors perfectly! I love it and love your coloring! Yes, all watercolor paper is not the same, and I too love Ranger watercolor paper (definitely a nice white). But you persisted and finally make a stunning card! Great challenge, sweet sister! Hugs! xoxo

This is gorgeous! I love Ranger paper, too! Your candle color reminds me of vintage light bulbs blue and my grandmother loved candles and poinsettias. This really takes me back... TFS!!
