The only time I ever saw the movie "The Christmas Story," I made it maybe half an hour before completely and totally losing interest. Since I also don't have any images with a B.B. gun, that was out. So I went with the color red, as suggested in the challenge!
I cut an A2-size panel of red cardstock. I marked a line 1/4" to one side of center, and adhered a 1/2" wide strip of white felt along that line. I die cut a buckle from silver glitter cardstock, threaded a black strip through that, and glued it to my panel, over the felt. I added black Nuvo drops for buttons. I discovered, in doing so, that if you apply them to felt, you will need 2 applications, since the first one absorbed into the material. For Santa's beard, I cut a piece of white cardstock. I glued 2 layers of quilt batting to that, and cut the bottom edge in a rough curve. Finally, I glued that to the top of my card front, and adhered my card front to a white card base.
