The sister of a friend of my mom's recently passed away, so I offered to make a sympathy card for her to give to him. I die cut the "sympathy" 4 times from navy cardstock, and glued them together to create a faux-chipboard word. I also die cut 3 of the "Stitched Leaves" from watercolor paper, and used Distress stains to color them. I cut a strip of burlap, and pulled some of the threads on each side to fray it. I glued that to a panel of cream cardstock with Perfect Paper Adhesive liquid glue, adding just a few dots in the corners. I also ran a line of glue around the edges, just to keep them from fraying any more. I glued the leaves in place, and glued down the sympathy word. I stamped "with" onto a strip of cream, and cut an angle on each end before gluing it above the sympathy. I finished by tying a triple bow from thin jute twine and gluing that to the top of the leaves, so it looks like they are tied together.

Fantastic fall textures and colors. Your card is perfect for the challenge. You are so kind to make this card for your friend and I am sure she really appreciates the card.
