***replaced with a non low-evening-sunlight photo, which is more realistic in terms of colour but alas shows less of the sparkle on the prickles ***
For Dina's Fall Inspiration MIX challenge.
Mediums - regular and oxide distress, Couleur d'Art pencils, Inktense pencils, SN glitter pen, Stickles, white gel pen and Liquid Pearls.
Dina offers us an inspiration photo "to have something that guides us instead of something that really makes us think". Ha, two of the hardest types of challenges for me - inspiration and colour - rolled up into one. Plus, I need one Halloween card a year (already mailed) and max two with pumpkins. So I went entirely with being inspired by the colour palette side of the photo.
Wrinkle free distress using pumice stone, hickory smoke distress and antique linen DOX. Stamped the fungus and the branch. Used Work of Art and Antique Linen DOX to colour the prickles, as per the TLC this week. Added lots of clear glitter sparkle. I also stamped a few of the spots across the background.
Used gathered twigs to darken the foreground. Coloured the fungus with Couleur d'Art pencils, white gel pen, Stickles and Liquid Pearls (silver). Decided the card needed more, so stamped and embossed the snail off the edge of the card. He's coloured with Inktense pencils.
It still needed more - added the butterfly perched on the mushroom. It's stamped on the base also, with the entire part stamped on the base coloured and then gone over with Stickles as it can be seen under the wing. Added a sentiment to finish it off, matted it on some scrap card and then a kraft base.

This is *not* the card of someone who struggles with color challenges! The soft-to-a-pop colors are exquisite. I love the upper right design/color application. And your snail on the lower right has a very cute personality.

This is so Darling, Sabrina! Your stamped images appear to be coming off the page, and that's hard to achieve! Love the little bling on each toadstool and your Beautiful bg is a work of art in itself!
